About Us

Meet the owner!

I am Joe Bedford. I am the owner of Your Back Office Accounting. I am an Enrolled Agent, which means that I am enrolled to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. Enrolled Agents have demonstrated significant tax knowledge by successfully completing a 12-hour written examination. They are granted unrestricted rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS, have demonstrated special competence in tax matters, adhere to ethical standards, and are required to stay current with tax law and regulations by completing a minimum amount of continuing education annually. This is the most advanced credential offered by the IRS. And though I’m credentialed by them, I work for you.

I handle all representation duties for each case personally, using a time-proven systematic and methodical approach. I pledge to be your trusted tax partner, as I use my experience and knowledge to navigate the maze-like bureaucracy of the IRS on your behalf. I promise you that I will not rest until I have obtained the most favorable result possible, and in the shortest possible amount of time. I will represent you on your behalf, so you will not have to deal directly with the IRS. Additionally, we use cloud-based technology to service clients in all fifty states and US territories. Wherever you are in the US, we can help you, and from the comfort of your own home or office. I am trustworthy, ethical, caring, compassionate, patient, knowledgeable, meticulous, and methodical. And most importantly, I get the job done.

I am an expert in my field. While CPAs have more stringent educational requirements than EAs, please keep in mind that not all CPAs specialize in taxes or representation, but I do specialize. Also, EAs have the exact same unlimited representation rights before the IRS as CPAs. Additionally, EAs are federally licensed, so they can represent taxpayers in all 50 states, including New York, Hawaii, and California. CPAs are licensed by their states, so they may not be able to represent all out-of-state taxpayers.
